Theodore Proulx, ‘The Bartender’s Manual’ 1888

Ingredients:

  • 2 parts Lot 40®
  • 1 Raw Sugar Cube
  • 5 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Splash of Soda Water

Method:

Place sugar cube in mixing glass, soak with bitters and small dash of soda water. Pour in whisky and add ice. Strain over one large ice cube in glass. Squeeze zest across drink, give it a twist and place it in drink.
